Q: What is this event all about?
A: This is a gathering for jet boat enthusiasts to come together, enjoy their boats, socialize, and share their passion for jet boating. Expect a fun-filled weekend on the water.
Q: When and where is the event?
A: See Schedule and Travel Info pages for details
Q: Can I come for just part of the event?
A: Absolutely! Feel free to pop in for any part of the event. Whether you can stay for the whole time or just a single activity, we'd love to have you.
Q: Who can attend? Do I need to own a jet boat?
A: This is a family friendly meet up for jet boat owners. Feel free to bring your friends, but make sure you have enough room on your boat!
Q: How do I register or RSVP?
A: Please RSVP by July 10th. Each boat must RSVP to participate in tie ups! Boat information is needed in order to secure a rafting permit.
Q: I've never done a tie up or rafting, how does this work?
A: It is very similar to docking your boat. One boat will start the tie up by setting an anchor. Then the next boat pulls along side that boat and tie together (typically with dock lines). The stern/back of the boats are lined up and tied first to make walking across the swim decks possible. Fenders/bumpers are used between the boat to makes sure no dings are occuring.
Q: What kind of activities are planned?
A: See Schedule page
Q: What should I bring?
A: Recommended items include:
* Your jet boat, in good working order with all required safety equipment.
* Life jackets for everyone on board.
* Sunscreen, hats, and sunglasses.
* Towels and appropriate swimwear/boating attire.
* Plenty of water and food.
* Dock lines and fenders.
* Water activity items (rafts, kayaks, water saddles, etc.)
* Waterproof bag for valuables.
* Watersports gear if you want to break away and enjoy some watersports. Be sure to bring a towing flag if you plan on watersports! Illinois law requires a bright orange flag, at least 12 inches by 12 inches, at the highest point of the boat's helm, visible from all directions, while towing or preparing to tow.
Q: Are there any specific rules or safety guidelines for the event?
A: Yes, safety is our top priority.
* All boating laws and regulations for the local waterway must be followed.
* Operate your boat responsibly and be mindful of other boaters and water users.
* Maintain safe speeds, especially in no-wake zones or crowded areas.
* No operating vessels under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
* In order to participate in tie ups, you must RSVP! Boat information is needed in order to secure a rafting permit.

A: Lithia Spring Marina is the recommended boat launch for this event. See the Travel Info page for details and lodging information.
